Jessica Jackson develops and executes data-backed strategies that increase profits for small and medium sized businesses. As the owner of BlockDrop.io, Ms. Jackson uses the experiences and lessons from her own entrepreneurial journey to help startups choose strategies that their customers will love.
Recently, she worked with a venture-backed medical device company focused on reducing women’s mortality from cervical cancer. With the founder, Ms. Jackson led the application development for a device designed for effective, reliable, fast and non-invasive screening. Using a proven process of qualitative data analysis, she crafted a strategy for the company’s flagship product to meet the needs of their target customers.
Before that, Ms. Jackson joined a distressed development agency based in Austin, where her strategic vision and implementation led to the company’s complete financial turnaround. From selling the agencies services and delivering on large-scale UX design projects, to setting internal strategy and ensuring smooth operations, Ms. Jackson’s tenacious and data-centered approach delighted the agency’s customers, putting the company back in the black.
Ms. Jackson studied environmental engineering at SDSU, graduating summa cum laude, valedictorian. She began her great passion to help the distressed through the pursuit of clean water in the 3rd world. In her early career, she moved to Haiti to build a water treatment plant on the Central Plateau where groundwater is scarce. With encouragement from barking pugs and dachshunds, she started her first entrepreneurial venture in 2007. Through a series of subsequent start-ups, Ms. Jackson has learned how to quickly identify key activities that lead to positive cash flow and position companies for rapid growth.”
