Nadia is a Staff Engineer on Google Maps Android, and has been at Google for 5 ½ years. She leads 10 engineers and 3 teams who focus on the front-end for all driving directions and turn by turn navigation. During her Google tenure, she has helped launch features such as lane guidance, traffic incidents, Offline Maps, and search along the route. In her spare time, she teaches the University of Washington Girls Who Code club every Tuesday, and funds scholarships for under-privileged young women who seek to pursue a career in technology. She is a true believer in change and gender parity in tech, and she is passionate about diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
Nadia holds a master’s degree in electrical engineering and computer science from CPE Lyon, France, and a PhD in computer science from Oregon State University, where her focus was computer vision.
